This year I have a special Valentine. She has been with me on this journey cheering me on when I have wanted to give up and pushing me forward when I wanted to stand still.

I haven’t been so kind to her for many months which has been rather close to a year. I haven’t listened when she spoke and when she needed me most. I turned my back forgetting that if I don’t nourish our relationship that it will fall apart.

Today I sat with her in yoga class and we finally connected. I sent her love and held her close knowing that without this affection she cannot grow. For the first time in a long time I felt my heart opening. This love of course is my own.
