Entering my room close to midnight, my sister commands ‘you are not an old lady, you need to go out and meet people. You still have that village woman mentality. You are young and beautiful’.When I first came to Bali, I felt sad for the women in the village not being able to get an education. They looked at me and felt sad because I was not married and had no family.
My sister and perhaps friends look at me and want me to meet someone, but really truly what I want to do is to be a ‘fine dress maker’. Chanel was married to her dream. I was once in love, but it was not enough so now I want to let love be as it may. If it arrives it does, if it does not it is all the same. I have love just a different kind.
I love knowledge, fashion and giving back to the world. Those three for me combined with a mix of adventure and simplicity. I could shut the lights off and call it a day. I made my dreams come true. Striving like a hamster to catch the wheel burned my motivation. There really isn’t a hurry. Like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland late for important date. I have arrived time to take it in.

I’ve rushed and rushed through life. Its ok to slow down in a sleepy town.

I love this cute farmer’s market band.

Updates from the AVEH school in Bali. So proud of our team and the students. As much as it has pained me to help create this place with my good friend Green this is what makes my heart skip a beat.
