Its easy to stay in and sleep. I have been doing this for some time. Missing out and hiding behind screens. My sister invited me for a trek with some friends. Nature reminds us that all that seems so big is pretend. The real thing is in the fields. The trees sway and sing with the birds.
Thorns catch my tights and prick my skin. It was a light climb. I have shut the door. Not letting in conversation, pain and fun. We cannot hibernate for it will only bury us alive. We push aside the brush and leap over rocks. Our shoes are dusty and the paint wearing thin. The sweat trickles and eyes twinkle.
We arrive at the bottom with a glad relief. Each with our own weight burned off. Returning for some tea we smiled and laughed. It was a lovely afternoon. Walk a different way. Feel love in simplicity.
