One girl's journey making her fashion dreams come true
Parallel Realities
There is something cathartic about finishing what you have started and becoming everything you have ever wanted. Although it is not a natural position as I find myself every day with my hand on the mission abort button. Talking myself out of all that I love with the excuse of logic.
What if there was a parallel world in which we could exist? A place where all our dreams and imaginations could win. Where all the doubts step aside and we must believe. We do the work to build that reality and then look out on those open doors.
I am finding inch by inch I am staying the course. I still have that voice reminding me what happened last time. It did not work, but something in me remembers that this is all we’ve got. This day, this moment, and I am going to exist in this world that walks towards the next sliding door.
Finally got my Willcox & Gibbs vintage sewing machine serviced, and she sews beautifully.I have a small collection of vintage sewing machines that I would like to sew with because I find these lovely little baby machines so beautiful. They are magical and fun.I have returned to teaching fashion founders how to build their fashion ventures by doing. I teach with the Elsa Fitzgerald case as an enterprise in real time. It is very much like the old apprenticeship system, where you do and then the student tries for themselves.I have started private sewing lessons so I can learn how to make my own designs for the Elsa Fitzgerald fashion house. I am building the life of my dreams. It has not been easy as I keep reverting back to past conditioning, but I am here to hold fast to my dreams so I can fly to new, happy life heights.
