Don’t be afraid to outgrow your former self.
Your heart knows where it is meant to flow, but the mind likes to run in circles.
There is a shedding of layers of self that feels very uncomfortable, like new skin touched by the elements before it has hardened.
Do not let this transitional discomfort stop you.
Let your inner world guide you through—listen in.
Recently, I have struggled with the idea of bringing an old dream back to life in a new way.
Elsa Fitzgerald has always been in my heart, but I have had so many false starts that it felt easier to leave that work behind me.
Yet every time I tried to fully walk away, I felt that inner knowing saying, don’t let go.
So as I am pulling up the roots to dust them off and plant them in fresh, nourishing soil, I am going to have to hold tight for a bumpy emotional ride.
It is not that I am afraid, because I have been here before.
It feels like opening a wound that hurts a bit before it heals.
In time, it becomes strong again.
If you are in a season of transition, give yourself grace and space to explore what is happening in your heart below the surface.
Pause and listen to what is quietly asking for your attention.
What do you really want?
How can you make gradual yet intentional steps toward a life and self that feels aligned with that magical calling?
